In the 'nineties, Sarah Lucas belonged to the Young British Artist (YBA) artist group. Almost all the artists in this group, which included Damien Hirst, had studied at Goldsmith College in London. Exhibitions in the Saatchi Gallery in London from 1992 onwards brought these artists international fame.
From the beginning of the 'nineties, Sarah Lucas produced furniture that suggested the human body. Her work explores the sexual stereotyping - mainly female - in society.
