Pablo Ruiz y Picasso demonstrated an exceptional talent even at an early age. After his family setted in Barcelona, he got to know the art of France and Northern Europe. In 1900 he visited Paris and in 1901 settled permanently in the French capital, then the centre of modern art. In 1909, together with George Braque, he developed cubism.
