Father Alcazin

Ask anything

  • Shira asked

Was this work exhibited somewhere in the 19th century? Do we know more details about Alcazin?
    Thank you!!

  • Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen answered

Dear Shira, all we know is that Mr. Alcazin was a life guard in Honfleur. Also, we know that Theo van Gogh organised an exhibition of Rafaelli in 1890 in Paris, but I can't tell you if this work was on show there. To find out more, it would require some further research, for which we unfortunately do not have the means at the moment. I'm sorry we couldn't be of more help. All the best, Rianne
