Henry Dreyfuss was one of the first American industrial designers. In 1929, he opened his own studio for theatrical and industrial design. When designing, he placed particular emphasis on people as users of his products. He was convinced that then these would be most efficient. This thermos flask, in plastic and aluminium, is a Streamline design, something very characteristic of his work.
