The architect/designer T.H. Colenbrander was almost eighty when he produced sixty models and seven hundred different decorations for the Ram earthenware pottery in Arnhem in the space of seven years. This cupboard display set is one of the highlights of his oeuvre. He had laid the foundations for this production at Rozenburg pottery in the Hague, where he had worked as a designer between 1885 and 1889.
