The 'Internet Dweller' by Nam June Paik is an imaginary being who lives on the Internet. It is constructed almost entirely from technology. Colour monitors, circuit cards, cables and aerials are attached to an old television cabinet. The work looks like some futuristic robot from the 'fifties and so Paik looks back in the 'nineties on the most important technological inventions in the electronic media. Paik is considered the founder of the video art in the 'sixties.
