Tram Stop

Ask anything

  • Nicolas Walters asked

Hello. I had two quick questions. Is the Max Beckmann work 'Tram Stop' (1944) on loan or now part of the museum's permanent collection? Additionally, if one wanted to schedule an appointment to see the work in person with advance notice, what would be the protocol for doing so? Many thanks, Nicolas

  • Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen answered

Hi Nicolas, I checked for you and this piece is indeed on longterm loan. I'm not sure to who, as this information is not accessible for everyone in the museum. In the new depot it will be possible to request artworks to study (at the beginning only for research and experts, but soon we will expand that program). All best, Lisa Heinis.
