Ask anything

  • Angelo Tola asked

Is this piantina unspired from Hieronimous Bosch?

  • Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen answered

    Hi Angelo,
Yes, this is a digital print by Otomo in collaboration with the collage artist Kosuke Kawamura. Katsuhiro's favourite artist is Bruegel the Elder so he decided to reinterpret the painting. Otomo visited Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen and exchanged ideas with the museum's curator in order to make the digital drawing.
    Best,
    Mara
