Against a golden background, the Virgin Mary sits upon a throne, which is suggested merely by fabric with plant and animal motifs. With her right hand Mary holds Jesus, whose nakedness is barely covered by a translucent veil. Two angels holding flowers stand on each side. Vases of flowers stand at their feet. The flowers refer to Mary's virginity.
