The Ospedale Demidoff in the Italian health spa Bagni di Lucca was built between 1826 and 1828 by the Russian Prince Anatole Demidov. Bagni di Lucca is also known as the place where roulette was first played. It is noteworthy that the Neo-Classicist Teerlink chose a contemporary building as his subject.
