Sigmar Polke was a painter, photographer, draughtsman and filmmaker. He also made installations, performances and wrote texts. He was fascinated by a scientific approach to art, but he also liked to ridicule it. This film incorporates short absurdist scenes from Polke’s ‘performances’.
