More information

Schedoni and his workshop painted many works featuring the Holy Family and the Virgin and Child. Some drawn preliminary studies have survived. They are often variants of early compositions by Schedoni. In this drawing Schedoni seems to be focusing on the relationship between mother and child. Joseph is indicated with just a few outlines.
