Study for St Joseph Standing in 'The Presentation in the Temple' of the 'Del Pugliese Tabernacle', uit de collectie van Galleria degli Uffizi, Florence.
This chalk study is an elaboration of the previous one, with the chin more
hidden behind the fold on the shoulder and the left foot further to the left. In
the painting the block on which the model was standing has been replaced
by a round table with a single foot, which makes no difference for the stance
of the figure. As with the standing Virgin, the model was probably a draped
mannikin.
