Study for the Seated Apostle at Innermost Right in the Upper Half (Lunette) of 'The Last Judgement', from the collection of Museo di San Marco, Florence.
In this study the artist tries a further variation on the preceding study with a different drapery fold for the cloak and the hands resting separated in the lap. The figure looks almost directly at the beholder. A combination of this study and the preceding variant was used in the fresco, though the position of the hands and the head – bearded but otherwise bald – were altered.
