Study for a Standing Prophet Seen from the Front in the Lower Half of 'The Last Judgement', from the collection of Museo di San Marco, Florence

There are two known studies of the second prophet. The figure is depicted

from the front, leaning on one leg in an elegant ‘contrapposto’ stance. In

both cases the fold hanging from the left shoulder is held up by the

extended left forearm. In this version the undergarment is indicated as well.
