Study for the Seated Christ in the Upper Half (Lunette) of the 'Last Judgement', from the collection of Museo di San Marco, Florence.

The second drawing – in the Uffizi – is an expressive study with many

corrections and variations which made it difficult to read, so the figure was

drawn afresh, maintaining the raised right arm and the left hand pointing to

the wound in the side, but with changes to the position of the head and the

addition of three child angels at his feet. This version was employed in the

fresco.
