The engraving on the silver beaker shows a detailed map of the surroundings of Breda. The map shows countless locations as well as the positions of various army units and their leaders. The illustration is taken from a map engraved by Claes Jansz. Visscher. A scroll bears the inscription: 'Nieuwe Kaerte van BREDA belegert door syne Altesa Frederick Hendrick van Nassou Prince van Oragien den 23 Iuly 1637'.
