The engraving on the silver beaker shows a detailed map of the surroundings of Breda. The map shows countless locations as well as the positions of various army units and their leaders. The illustration is taken from a map engraved by Claes Jansz. Visscher. A scroll bears the inscription: 'Nieuwe Kaerte van BREDA belegert door syne Altesa Frederick Hendrick van Nassou Prince van Oragien den 23 Iuly 1637'. (New map of BREDA besieged by his highness Frederick Hendrick van Nassou Prince of Oranje, 23 July 1637).
