During the christmas vacation the library of the museum is closed from monday the 23rd of December until friday the 3rd of January.
With almost 160,000 volumes, Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen’s library is one of the largest art libraries in the Netherlands. All publications in the collection may be consulted upon request.
The collection of books, auction and exhibition catalogues reflects the museum’s own holdings: old master and modern art (paintings, sculptures, prints and drawings, installations, etc.), ceramics, glass, silver, design and household objects.
The library is not a lending library, but books may be consulted in the library upon request. There is free Wi-Fi and you may bring a laptop. You can consult the library’s online catalogue on one of the museum’s computers.
Tuesday to Friday from 11.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m.
