The Floor is Yours

April 2023-March 2025 

The project The Floor is Yours is a two-year public programme resulting from the collaboration between Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen (Rotterdam, Netherlands) Mumok, MUseum MOderner Kunst Foundation Ludwig (Vienna, Austria) and Mart, Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art of Trento and Rovereto (Italy). 

The title The Floor is Yours is itself a stance: the museums in the network give the floor to the public, fostering new perspectives on the museum and pursuing real social inclusion. What we want to create is a reversal of perspective: different audiences are not simply invited to come to the museum to experience its narratives, but are involved in the creation of new stories.The objectives of the project are therefore to experiment new processes of collaboration with some of the social actors in the area and to build a network capable of fostering the dissemination of good practices.
