In 2004, the Rotterdam artist Melvin Moti produced 'No Show', a film based on a true story about Russian soldiers in the Second World War who were given a tour of an empty Hermitage in St. Petersburg. The story is remarkable, because the most important aspect is missing: the art. The theme of absence plays an important role in Moti's works.
