  • tifanny asked

  • Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen answered

Hartelijke groet, Els

  • faama M'Baye asked

what is the story of it

  • Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen answered

Dear Faama, As most artworks, the piece has many stories. It started out as part of a fashion collection, shown on the catwalk. But Walter van Beirendock, the artist, does not just design wearables, his items can be understood as statements about the world we are living in. In this particular case it could be a statement about nature and the way we humans are exploiting it. Kind regards, Els
