For his Readings Collection, Chalayan took inspiration from sun gods and sun worshippers in ancient religions and today's culture of celebrities. The moving crystals on this rotating dress reflect the laser beams in all directions. The beams seem to establish direct contact between the garments and the environment, between the icon and the public, the sun god and the sun worshippe; and between the act of looking and being looked at on the catwalk.
