Ask anything

  • Ronni Baer asked

How would Dolendo and Van Mander have collaborated on the conception of this print? What kind of volume is it in?

  • Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen answered

Hi Ronnie, Karel van Mander designed the composition and Zacharias Dolendo made a copy of it. Below is a small text which says: C.J. Visscher excudit. The book is named: 'Biblia des Ouden en Nieuwen Testaments. Bestaende Figuren van Verscheyde Meesters'. It was published around 1650.
I hope this information is helpful. Best, Els
