    Hi Rodeny, I have passed your question to our curator, but unfortunately he cannot say anything about the ground because it has never been analyzed. In case you want to know more about Avercamp's technique, he advizes you to consult the following 2009 exhibition catalogue: P. Roelofs (ed.), exh. cat.
