This silver beaker is elaborately decorated. One side the beaker is decorated with lilies of the valley and the other with clover leaves. The background shows engraved spiral patterns. Zwollo sr. was one of the first Dutch silver smiths to use asymmetrical decoration with themes derived from nature. The way these patterns are executed betray the influence of French Japonism. There is a sketch page by Zwollo on which he drew several lilies of the valley after nature.
