Not all images are free of copyright. It is the user’s responsibility to contact Pictoright or the entitled party to request publication rights.
Image requests
You may request an image of any work from the museum’s collection.
From 2021, Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen is providing free professionally photographed images of works in the collection, thus creating even greater access to its world-famous collection. Please consider a delivery time of 4 weeks.
You can request images via images@boijmans.nl
Please provide the following information:
- Name of your institution
- Contact details
- Purpose of image request
- Inventory number of the artwork
- Title
- Artist
- Deadline for receipt of the image
On request
Works that have not yet been professionally photographed can be photographed on request for a fee.
Please submit a new image request for each new purpose. The museum continues to improve the quality of its images to meet to the most up-to-date standards.
Credit and complimentary copy
Upon publication, please credit the image -unless otherwise stated- with the following creditline: Collection Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, Rotterdam. The museum’s library would be grateful for a complimentary copy of the publication.
The use of images from Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen is governed by the terms of delivery.
