Mecanoo to Design Renewed Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen

On 21 February 2020, the City of Rotterdam announced that the Delft-based architecture firm Mecanoo will oversee the large-scale renovation and modernisation of Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen.

The museum is delighted with the choice of Mecanoo, whose founding partner Francine Houben will lead the design team in partnership with the City of Rotterdam and the museum. Together with the inhabitants of Rotterdam and the international art world, the museum’s board of directors and staff are looking forward to the renew Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, which will open its doors again in 2026.
